Life Happens!

WOW! Does time fly. It's been a month since I've blogged last. This summer has really gone by... The Bible says that life is fleeting -PS 89:47 Here one moment, gone the next.

It is soooo important that we make every minute count. Don't say a bad word, don't look an angry look, don't make haste to gossip. Forgive at every opportunity. Show grace and mercy at every turn. Let redemption and restoration rule...

One day we're here - the next we're standing in judgment. Kind of a scary thought - the Bible says that we'll give an account for every idle word -Matt 12:36. Just let that sink in for a moment...

Okay - why not take a moment today and appreciate the people, things, and opportunities that God has given you. Also, appreciate each and every day - in the lord! Blessings - Pastor Mark

As Easy As - 1,2,3...

I bought a new shirt recently at the Urban Outfitters - a Sesame Street t-shirt. The show that my children grew up watching. The show that uses cute little songs to relay important learning facts.

The show that seems so basic, yet so far advanced - as every little person [and some adults] that watch this show with some level of consistency - have imbedded in their person the where-with-all to receive some helpful knowledge.

It's as easy as 1,2,3... Acts chapter four - Peter and John are arrested. Peter preaches and about five thousand [Acts 4:4] get saved. Miracles are taking place and they are telling everyone about Jesus.

This upsets the religious crowd [go figure!] - but they come to realization. Acts 4:13 "...when they [the religious crowd] saw the boldness of Peter and John and perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marvelled; and they took knowledge of them, that they had been with Jesus."

What a statement - they had been with Jesus...! It doesn't matter our background, past, or education - when you've been with Jesus - it is apparent to all ! It's as easy as 1,2,3, Be with Jesus and everything else will be okay!!!
